A three-week license will be provided to attendees to use <em>Leapfrog Geo<\/em> in the training program. The course runs for four weeks with the first week an introduction to 3D modelling data sources and their quality aspects. The remaining three weeks teaches students the use of the software and allows practice on a real world mineral project dataset, either provided by the course or using the students own data.<\/p>\n<p>There is no assumed prior knowledge of 3D modelling software but does expect that participants are geoscientists who adequately understand the fundamental geological concepts that underlie geological data collection and interpretation. A basic understanding of the exploration and mining process is also desirable.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will also need to have adequate computer utilization skills and access to suitable computer hardware to undertake the course \u2013 refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seequent.com\/help-support\/system-requirements\/leapfrog3d\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.seequent.com\/help-support\/system-requirements\/leapfrog3d\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The course is suitable for existing minerals industries professionals or aspiring geoscientists who work in either industry or research on minerals \/ resources projects.<\/p>\n<p><em>Leapfrog Geo<\/em> enables modelling of numeric data (assay values or sensor information) and categorical data (such as lithology and alteration) using implicit modelling techniques. These techniques leverage both the data distribution and their value to enhance modelling effectiveness, along with interpretation controls provided by the modeler.<\/p>\n<p>Since being released in 2004 the software has risen to a global industry-leading position for 3D modelling and interpretation, with many other software providers seeking to emulate aspects of Seequent\u2019s <em>Leapfrog Geo<\/em> functionality.<\/p>\n<p>This introductory course will enable participants to, at first, work with a supplied simplified, dataset for the initial training.
